On March 9 I posted about beginning a pastel painting using the photo below as a reference.
Well, I have decided it is finished.

As a jewelry artist I work with sterling silver, gold and gems to create original sculptures that are worn as jewelry. I design my jewelry as unique and distinctive pieces to offer aesthetic pleasure and to be a joy to wear.

Painting is a lifelong dream stirred by a desire to record memories of wonderful landscapes I witness in my travels. I prefer using the richness of pastels to capture the intense colors and feel of spectacular landscapes. I am not accomplished but I am enthusiastic.

I always love to see a persons perspective and interpretation on a photograph . Each one is unique - and yours looks beautiful !
I haven`t used pastels in a long time - but recently bought some earth toned ones to dabble once again myself .
Thanks, I am not really happy with the picture, but it is what it is at this point. Since I took the original photo then at least I like the way that turned out.
I am just a dabbler in pastels. No training and I only do landscapes.
I prefer pastels to any other medium. I do like your interpretation - O.
Onedia, you are really a talented person, so nice. have a nice weekend :)
Your painting is beautiful! I've painted with acrylics but have never used pastels.
This reminds me that I signed up for an online class (same one Sherry/Cherie posted about) for portraits and it starts in JUNE. Which is tomorrow, right? Where'd May go, this I want to know!!
Yep, may whizzed by in a flash.
Nice Painting Onedia. I bought the pad and pencils, but still haven`t found time to try using them. Last was a painted farm mural on the double grage doors to keep busy after losing my husband in 2002. Want to try sketching with the shaded pencils.
