New Commission

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

I just received a commission for a piece along the lines of this one which is sculpted from sterling silver clay and hung from a chain embellished with multicolored silk ribbon. The new one will be inspired by this but different of course and made just for the person who will wear it.

The silver clay sounds interesting ! i`ve never heard of it myself ! Is it polymer clay ? Or am i completely off the mark ! ?

it is sterling silver in powder form in a clay binder that you sculpt with and then fire in a kiln to produce sterling silver. There is also gold and bronze clay. It is primarily used by jewelry artist and others who make ornamental items. just google precious metal clay.

Wow, that is beautiful!

By the way, I finally answered your book meme, but of course I couldn't keep it serious and had some fun with it. I got really rather silly with it, so please don't be offended. I did technically follow the directions.

Pretty! I love how the chain really compliments the pendant.
